"climate change" is here to stay

Folks, let's be realistic about these CRU emails and how they'll affect policy. This scandal will hardly put a dent into all the climate nonsense.

First, the talk has been shifting from "global warming" to "climate change" for years now... ever since it started to become common knowledge that Earth's climate has been cooling during the past decade or so. For people who put their faith in obvious lies, it's not a problem when the lies change. Leftist dictators don't need a good excuse to expand their power. Any excuse will do. "Climate change" works so well because hedonism is a natural fallback when people lose belief in God.

Second, far too much relies on this climate change nonsense for it to go away quickly, regardless of anything. Countless researchers get grant money by tying their research to the subject. Countless organizations and programs (jobs) have been founded on the idea. Countless sales are dependent on widespread fear of imaginary pollution. And many politicians around the world who are trying to expand their power have a much easier time of it while people are afraid the sky is falling.

I'm sorry, guys, but "climate change" is here to stay. This isn't even a matter of perception over truth. It's about desire over morals. Many, if not most, of the people pushing this stuff have some awareness that what they're saying is false. They just don't care.
